Saint Francis High School Names Erik Wagle Head Baseball Coach

Saint Francis High School is pleased to announce that Erik Wagle has been named as head coach of the varsity baseball program.

With extensive coaching experience, Wagle has led programs at both the high school and collegiate level. He started his coaching career at his alma mater, Live Oak High School, followed by San Jose City College and Cal State Monterey Bay. Most recently Wagle served as the president of Kinetic Performance Institute (KPI), which offers state-of-the-art baseball training and performance assessments. Wagle's innovative approach to performance-based athletic coaching aligns with the vision of the Lancer baseball program.

In anticipation of his new role, Coach Wagle said, "I am extremely honored and excited to lead the Lancer baseball program and join the Saint Francis community. Being included in a prestigious institution like Saint Francis and heading this tradition-laden baseball program is incredibly humbling. I have a tremendous amount of gratitude towards the Saint Francis administration and hiring committee. With immense reverence for the rich traditions of Lancer baseball, I am looking forward to serving the young men in the program and to moving the program forward into the model for high school baseball development."

Director of Athletics Therren Wilburn is enthusiastic about the upcoming season. "Saint Francis baseball has a strong tradition with a lineage of great educators who have led our baseball program. I am looking forward to Erik building on that legacy and helping our students become great men in the dugout and in our Saint Francis community," he said.
