Skahill Earns Central Coast Section Scholar-Athlete Scholarship

Emily Skahill was honored at the annual CCS Scholar-Athlete Scholarship Breakfast at The Silver Creek Sportsplex on Monday March 27th. Emily was the WCAL female recipient of the CCS scholarship. Over the past four years she was a member of the varsity cross country and track teams. She has completedover 100 hours of volunteer work. She is a member of Student Council, school newspaper, Creative Writting Club, Stan Up! Speak Up!, and Photography Club. This past fall Emily finished second in the CCS Division II cross country meet helping the Lancers to back to back CCS team titles. Over the past 7semesters Emily earned a GPA of 4.31. She will be attending and competeing at Brown University this fall.

The CCS is entering the 2nd year of their scholarship program that recognizes outstanding student athletes in the Central Coast Section. The Scholar-Athlete Scholarship program will recognize one female and one male from each league and will receive a $500 scholarship.
